1. The opposite of activity
It feels like the dead of winter here in snowy Minnesota, and my body and mind have been behaving accordingly: complete and utter laziness, all day, every day. I get home from work, and all I want to do is sit. Or lay. Or soak in a hot bath with a good book. I have been indulging in these lethargic feelings, and it’s been absolutely delightful. The act of doing nothing has brought into perspective how much I do on a normal day, and I’m realizing it was high time for a break! I don’t know when my motivation will come back….but you can find me in the bathtub in the meantime.
2. Baby bumps, again
I’m flying to Denver tomorrow to see my sweet, sweet sister and her sweet, sweet baby who will be born in approximately one month. Remember the belly? It’s going to be bigger now. Do you think she’ll let me put another picture on the interwebs? I think I’m going to make her say yes. I’ll let you know how it goes next week.
3. Clean/Dirty magnet
I want this so much! Someday it will be mine.
4. Health, for all people and cats
I just got over having the flu for a week (hence, absence from the blog and the internet in general). It sucked, but I read The Hunger Games series to get through it and am feeling A-okay now. I love, love, love not being sick anymore.
We also had a little scare this week with a very sick kitty. (I won’t go into the unpleasant details, but involved his itty bitty bladder). He’s over the hump, but still needs pills every day and isn’t feeling 100% yet. But on the bright side, I’ve never seen a kitty in the world who takes pills as well as Ninja Bob does…it’s like magic. I’d love to give you tips and advice and how we achieve this, but I’m pretty sure this is just something Bob is naturally skilled at.
5. Soup
‘Tis the season for soups! Like tomato-basil parmesan soup and golden onion soup. I really want to try this Chicken Noodle Soup from Smitten Kitchen. Do you have any other recommendations for me? I’m cold.
