1. Will they eat it?
In this video series, you will discover a world of suspenseful mystery in which food is placed in a chicken coop…followed by the exciting discovery of whether chickens will eat said food.
In the words of the series creator/chicken farmer: “Maybe they will, maybe they won’t. They’re chickens. There’s no predicting.”

2. The Wii room!
I’m oh-so-close to showing you how it’s turning out! We’ve come a long way from the last set of pictures you saw…
We put up new curtains last week (see instagram shot). They need one more finishing touch, and I’m also picking out some beautiful new wall decor before we call it finished…but it’s so close, and Jon and I have been spending a lot of time in there already.
Which is especially nice, because it’s been HOT on the top floor of our house; the main floor is so much nicer.
I’ll satisfy your curiosity with a post full of pictures in July!
3. Vintage, vintage, vintage
The shop launch has me loving nothing more than vintage treasure hunting. I’m having so much fun stocking up the Rosy Blu Vintage inventory…I never want to stop. Which might not be healthy.
Particularly good haul at a huge estate sale this weekend, in which I picked up the little painted milkglass strawberry below.
I think Bob has a thing for strawberries.
4. The smell of sunscreen
There’s nothing like the smell of sunscreen. Somehow it smells like all of the most wonderful memories I have of beaches, lakes, cabins, camping, hiking, picnics and gardening, all rolled into one.
Plus, wearing sunscreen means it’s summer and I get to play outside now. So…I just love it, all around.
5. Smoothies of any kind
Turns out once I start blending, I can’t stop. I made the chocolate peanut butter banana smoothies for about a week, then Jon got hooked on Naked Fruit Smoothies and asked me if we could replicate them at home. Um, yeah! Yesterday morning we had one with bananas, strawberries, blackberries, and a bit of cranberry grape juice, plus a squeeze of lemon juice to keep it fresh in the fridge (we wanted to see how it would keep in the fridge until the next day…but I broke down and drank the experimental one at 2pm.) Totally doing the fresh fruit smoothies again, and soon. I’m looking to this page for ingredient inspiration for future smoothies. It’s going to be great.
And just this weekend, I heard there is such thing as a Chocolate Cake Batter Smoothie (thanks, Amanda!). I don’t even know how to contain myself. Why have I not been making smoothies every day for my whole life?
