Hello, hello, did you miss me? I’ve been taking a little break for the holidays (it’s been divine! More about my break in my next post . . . ) but wanted to drop in to see you one more time before the year is officially over.
On this, the last day of 2013, let’s have a little look back, shall we? We’ll take a little stroll through some of your favorite posts, and remember how much fun we had the first time around. (I had a lot of fun. Did you?)
Here are the top 10 most popular posts from 2013:
1. Lemon drop sugar scrub (another 3-ingredient DIY using only pantry staples)
I still lick my arm when I use this in the shower. It’s delicious (and totally toxin-free).
2. Five DIY gift ideas to make in bulk
Homemade gifts will get you a hug from the recipient, every time. (And, ahem, these ones are super easy to make.) Everybody wins!
3. The incremental secret to making a huge household shift
The single biggest reason my home is (very nearly) toxin-free today.
A look back at my most popular blog post of all time. (Which, by the way, has been pinned more than 72,000 times to date!)
5. All-natural air freshener: sweet grass braids
The smell of freshly mown grass? Yes, please.
6. See what 10 minutes of cleaning can do (before & after pictures)
If this doesn’t get you pumped up to clean (really fast) . . . I just don’t know what will. Plus, you get to see my house all messy. And there’s something undeniably delicious about seeing other peoples’ messes.
7. Homemade mayonnaise: Easier than I expected
Seriously, you will have mayo in two minutes flat.
“Holy sweet mother of all that is right in this world. Those sandwiches look like something I might be willing commit crimes for.”
Thank you, Molly, I have nothing to add.
9. Seven things you need to know about homemade marshmallows
Liiiiike, you can roast them over a camp fire (but only if they’ve dried out for long enough).
Hint: we made a LOT. And there was a miracle.
Wasn’t 2013 fun? I have so much in store for 2014 that I can’t wait to share with you. See you next year!
In the mean time, if there are any topics you want me to blog about in 2014, leave a note in the comments!
