Happy Friday! I hope you are warm & cozy, winding down from your work week and gearing up for an exciting and/or relaxing and/or nourishing weekend ahead of you.
What am I up to? How sweet of you to ask! Well, let me just get a cup of tea and we’ll catch up, shall we?
I’m sitting here with a pre-dinner snack, which is a small plate filled with cheese. (Color me happy!) Goat cheese, Colby, German Brick and a few slices of parm. Nom.
This stunning Sausage Pepper Fettuccini Skillet Dinner is on the menu for a bit later tonight—Jon and I ate it a couple weeks ago for the first time, and I’ve been hankering to have it again ever since. We made it with spicy Andoullie chicken sausage from Trader Joe’s…and we’re talking restaurant quality pasta here, people. And the leftovers! Just as divine. If Marina’s photo isn’t enough to push you over the edge to go make this right now, I just don’t know what else to say. Except that it’s crazy easy, and you won’t regret it.
I recently re-read The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn. It’s a quick read, and packed with wisdom on the power of intention, faith and positivity in manifesting exactly what you want out of life. A little cheesy at times…but I love it. And best of all? You can get a PDF copy on the interwebs for free.
Getting ready for my upcoming classes (SHAMELESS PLUG!) You. Me. Four opportunities to jam right here in Winona, Minnesota.

I’ve been following the series of Humans of New York posts over the last week that started with a boy named Vince answering the question of who has influenced him most:
Humans of the New York (and the rest of the country) responded by recognizing Ms. Lopez for her efforts in improving the lives of her scholars at Mott Hall Bridges Academy, and donating over a million dollars to date, which will fund field trips for the kids to visit Harvard, years of summer programs and scholarships. And when I read this, I cried. Because it makes me happy that someone who so badly deserves recognition and support, got exactly that…and then some.
