I’m a beginner at gardening, but what I lack in experience, I like to think I make up for in good old fashioned enthusiasm. Looking at the list of what I’m planting this year, I’m thinking I’m slightly crazy, because the list is big. But it’s totally going to be worth it.
I made a point this year to order my seeds from companies that aren’t connected with Monsanto, because I want to avoid genetically engineered food in my garden. I chose Victory Seeds and Sow True Seed because between the two of them, they had nearly all the seeds on my shopping list. The seeds are open-pollinated/non-hybrid seeds and heirloom varieties. Both companies delivered my seeds within a week…now I need to sit and wait until planting time!
