I told you all last month that my hubby got a new job. Well, last week he came home with a thing that I’d never heard of before….but I was immediately super pumped to tell you about it (because, let’s be honest, I think about you all the time).
Because we both like all-natural things, right? Without chemicals or toxins or carcinogens? Ahem. Well, this product is right up that happy (and healthy!) little alley.
I will start by saying: I think store-bought air fresheners are generally icky. Especially the spray ones, where you breathe them in and cough because of how much your lungs hate them.
On the other hand, Jon came home and asked me if I liked the smell of grass. Um, YEAH! Why?
Because look at this:
It’s a sweet grass braid, made of dried grass and used as an air freshener for its sweet, sweet smell. Can be used anywhere you’d like, but we chose to stick it in the car under the windshield (when the sun hits it, the grass smell releases like mad).
Since I know a guy, I was able to get my paws on some more sweet pictures, like this one of the braids being made at their location outside of Winona:
And this is what the sweet grass looks like out in the prairie:
And here, the freshly cut grass hung to dry:
The sweet grass braids are available online right here (I’m not being paid to say that, I just think they’re awesome.) They also sell the sweet grass, if you want to grow it and make your own.
What’s your favorite natural air freshener? Do tell, in the comments!
