I came home to some limp and sorry-looking chives in my fridge after coming home from vacation. One of our kind housesitters picked up our CSA box for us last Wednesday while we were gone, and decided to leave these for us.
Maybe I’ll put them in a bit of water, I thought, and see if they’ll perk up. Check out the difference after leaving them in an inch of water overnight:
They were in the fridge SIX DAYS and after being in water overnight, they look good as new. Guess we know how chives are supposed to be stored!
