We ate at City Cafe in Rochester last weekend, and our appetizer included a basket of warm bread, served with a little scoop of pesto doused in olive oil on a small plate, for dipping.
Can we talk about how ingenious that is?
It tasted amazing, and I’ve had it three times since then. You should seriously do this.
Even better, you can do this all year. Freeze pesto in ice cube trays, and freeze loaves of fresh bread. Pull them out an hour or two early, and presto! Fancy appetizer with zero effort.
YUM.
That is all.
